Permanent upgrades: costs and order

Permanent upgrades are bought with gears after you sell the factory. They are the purchase list for The Perfect Employee. The public totals do not agree, so this page keeps four of them.

Four totals, none merged

SunderedShadow's guide says about 530 gears. canemall.site adds the listed prices to about 545 and still lacks a price for Starting Cash I. A comment on the Spanish 100 percent guide says 567 gears to buy the set. A comment on SunderedShadow's guide says about 570 and suggests saving 600. Profit Boost I is 5 gears in one list and 10 in another. I will not pick a winner.

Unit prices that both lists share: Brute Force I–IV at 5, 10, 20, and 35 gears. Starting Shockwave 15, Lucky Hits 20, Damaged Delivery 25, First Blood 30, Death Touch 30. Profit Boost II 20, III 40, IV 70. Grinder Speed 10, Luxury Cans 20, Shiny Shipment 25, Cold Storage 100. Starting Cash II 25, III 50. Never Skip Leg Day 10. Starting Cash I has no printed price.

Order the guides repeat

Cold Storage first, because a shift otherwise deletes what you did not sell. Then cheap damage and profit nodes. Never Skip Leg Day, Lucky Hits, First Blood, and Death Touch wait. Buying the set is the achievement. The route that earns the gears is on the sell-factory page.

FAQ

What does Damaged Delivery do?

canemall.site says 25 percent of a delivery arrives at half health. That percentage is one source.

Does Luxury Cans affect creatures or cans?

The write-ups disagree about shiny cans versus shiny creatures. I leave the effect cell as the guide wrote it and do not force one meaning.
