Demo: download it and move your save
The demo is a separate free Steam app, number 5364590, released on 9 October 2026. It is the only free way to open the factory. Moving a save into the full game rests on one Steam guide.
Install
Open the demo's store page and install it like any other Steam app. It is Windows, same as the full game. There is no demo APK and no console demo. A discussion says the demo launched on Linux even when the full game asked for Windows. That is one thread, not a supported platform.
Move the save
cloud_t_o's Steam guide is the only write-up I have for carrying demo progress into the paid game. The file name they use is save.sav. Copy it from the demo's save folder into the full game's save folder after you have launched the full game once. Back up the destination save.sav first. I am marking this one source. If the folders differ on your machine, the guide's screenshots are the place to check, not a guess from me.
FAQ
Does the demo include the ending?
The guides treat the demo as an earlier slice. The $666,666,666 ending is described for the full game. I do not have a demo feature list from Steam that itemizes the ending.
Is the demo still online?
