Upgrades
Upgrades: what to buy first
Buy the upgrade that clears the pile you can see. The skill tree spends cash and resets. Permanent upgrades spend gears and survive a sale.

Bottleneck to purchase
Bodies stacked beside the grinder mean processing speed, then another machine. Cans stacked on the belt mean a conveyor that actually reaches the sales pipe. Creatures still alive at the buzzer mean a weapon, ammunition, or the turret. An idle room means a higher can value or a larger delivery, not another empty machine.
Whisper of the House starts with two cans per creature, Premium Cans at $12, and the Industrial Vacuum at $40. I use that as the day-one shopping list because the vacuum price also shows up on canemall.site. Later nodes are on the skill-tree page, and several of them have no published price.

FAQ
Do upgrades reset every night?
The skill tree does. Permanent upgrades are bought with gears after a sale and are described as staying.
What is the single best upgrade?
There is no universal one. Cold Storage is the permanent upgrade guides buy first because unsold stock otherwise vanishes at the buzzer.
