Slot machine and casino: how to unlock it
The slot machine is optional. It has no achievement. It stays locked until you accept the Feeling Lucky email from Happy Meat Food Corp.
The accept click
Tanya's achievement guide is blunt about this: the casino mail must be accepted. Closing it, or buying later weapons without that click, does not open the room. The mail sits in the chain after Today's Special, which itself follows the bat, knife, and pistol.
Whisper of the House records one session that turned $66 into $1,800 and still calls a normal shift the better earner. I am not turning that single session into an expected return. It is one sample.
Why it still matters before the ending
The same guide that explains the ending asks you to clear the casino mail and the sell-factory mail before you pay for Freedom at Last. The casino itself does not gate the ending price. The mail might stop if you end the game first. I keep those as two different claims: the price is widely repeated, the mail warning is one route.
FAQ
Is gambling required for 100 percent?
No achievement asks you to use the slot machine. The related achievement risk is missing the mail, not missing a jackpot.
Where is the casino?
It opens after Feeling Lucky is accepted. Guides describe it as a room you visit between shifts, not a weapon on the hotbar.
